Knossos Palace is partially accessible for wheelchair users thanks to recent upgrades. While not all upper levels are reachable, a meaningful and enjoyable route is available:
- Start your visit at the West Court, which is flat and accessible. View the Kouloures and the expansive ceremonial area.
- From the West Court, follow the accessible pathway toward the South Propylaeum to see the Bull Fresco replica. This path is wide and on a gentle slope.
- Continue on the paved route that leads directly to the Central Court. From here, you can see several key parts of the palace, including the layout of the Throne Room and Queen's Megaron from accessible viewpoints.
- Look out for designated exhibition areas near the Central Court, where fresco replicas and artifacts are displayed with ramp access and level flooring.
- Return via the same accessible route. Bring sunglasses, a hat, and sun protection, as shaded areas within the archaeological site are limited.
